Hope Center Houston Limited Reopening

While our number one priority is the health and safety of our guests, staff and volunteers, our homeless community is still in dire need of our services.  To continue our mission of feeding the homeless, we serve a hot lunch on the front porch of the Center and deliver mail between 12:00 - 1:00 p.m., Monday-Friday.  Manna bags are provided for the weekends. Our Center is open for services such as counseling, showers, clothes washing and clothes pickup by appointment only, Monday-Friday, 9 a.m. - 2 p.m.  Masks and proper social distancing are required and practiced.

We serve breakfast takeaway items Monday-Friday, but will happily offer a hot breakfast if anyone is willing to donate for 20 guests.  Please click on the links below if you wish to provide takeaway items or a hot breakfast. Thank you!

Our greatest need at this time is monetary donations.  Please contribute whatever you can to help us continue our mission.  We ask that you continue your prayers for our vulnerable community.

Homelessness is a minor setback, for a major comeback!

Meet our new Executive Director, Br. Allen A. White, OSF

A native Houstonian, Br. Allen A. White, OSF, was appointed Executive Director of Hope Center Houston on September 7, 2021. He succeeds Dr. Robert Butler who recently retired following 5 years of distinguished and dedicated service to Hope Center Houston and our community.

In addition to more than 25 years of ministry and executive management experience as an ordained minister, human resources director, and non-profit program director, Brother Allen has served HCH full-time since 2017: first as a volunteer, then chaplain, and most recently a member of the board of directors. A Franciscan friar with the Order of Saint Francis, he is also a staff member in the pastoral care department at Saint Dunstan’s Episcopal Church.

Please join us in welcoming Brother Allen as our lead advocate for the homeless as Executive Director of Hope Center Houston
